S-Engineering
S-Engineering describes the fundamental characteristics and ways of implementing automation solutions with Saia software and hardware products. S-Engineering offers a unique combination of features and capabilities. It gives choice between different drafting and programming methods and connects their advantages and strengths. The disadvantages of one or other design method are largely eliminated by an ability to combine them freely together. S-Engineering builds on three principles:		Engineering is thinking, planning, doing.

			Saia engineering software is basically available to everyone. The entire package, even at its fullest extent, costs less than 15 000 Euros (list price). One licence per company is enough.

The three core modules of Saia-PG 5 Controls Suite

1. Saia PG 5   - one programming tool for all PCD controllers
Saia PG5 is the tool for project planning, engineering and programming all Saia PCD CPUs in the PCD1, PCD2 and PCD3 families. PLC programs can be created in several programming methods. Comprehensive function libraries and templates offer ready solutions where others still require programming. Powerful testing tools guarantee short commissioning times.

2. Saia S-Web Editor – web visualization for automation
With the Saia S-Web Editor appealing web visualization can be successfully produced without any knowledge of web design. This tool is geared towards the automation environment. Fields of application are: visualization for installations/machines, alarm and trending functions, or even just a service page. Its complete integration within Saia PG 5 guarantees particularly efficient operation in connection with Saia PCD controllers. For applications independent of Saia PCD controllers, an additional stand-alone version is available.

3. Saia Visi Plus Engineering Edition – control system and optimization tool
With complex or distributed automation projects extending over numerous PCD controllers and plant groups, Saia Visi Plus is used as the PC-based management/control software. Specially developed for PCD CPUs, the link from automation to control level is particularly simple in construction. With the purchase of Saia PG 5 Controls Suite, licence holders can also use Visi Plus for system optimization after commissioning. Purchase of an additional licence is only necessary for permanent operation as a management/control station.
