S-Energy – inspiring energy savings

S-Energy stands for energy cost reduction solutions that are ready-to-use immediately. The system comprises components for the capture, visualization and recording of electrical energy values.

Capture
Bus-compatible energy meters (S-Bus) to capture power consumption and electrical operating values. 
On-site visualization
In the form of a control panel, the S-Energy Manager reads values from connected energy meters and displays them graphically.
Connection to automation
Controllers (PLCs) can access energy values from the S-Energy Manager via S-Bus, Modbus and MPI.
Provision of energy data that meets IT standards
The S-Energy Logger allows energy values to be transferred directly from energy meters and S-Energy Managers to SQL databases.

S-Energy links many years of experience in the field of measuring electricity consumption with core competencies in HMI and web technology. This of course means that captured consumption values can be accessed via the network and internet – only requiring a PC with standard browser for any analyses.

Bus-compatible electric meters – energy capture targeted by consumer

Saia-Burgess has produced electronic energy meters for over 10 years. Saia-Burgess was the first manufacturer to bring on the market small electric meters with MID approval.

Today the product range includes single-phase and three-phase meters with measuring ranges up to 6000 A, each with an S0 output or serial interface (S-Bus and M-Bus).

  
S-Energy Manager – consumption values analysed on-site

The S-Energy Manager unites data capture, visualization and logging in one, compact control panel. Special attention has been paid to ease of operation and installation. The S-Energy Manager is ready to use straight out of the box and can be commissioned by the company electrician.

After it is switched on, the S-Energy Manager recognizes connected energy meters fully independently and begins logging and visualization. The Web-Panel, with its wealth of interfaces, is easy to network or integrate into existing networks. Access to the operator interface via LAN and Internet only requires a PC with standard browser.

The integral logic control function and digital inputs and outputs offer possibilities for automation. The S-Energy-Manager is freely expandable and can be programmed using STEP7.

S-Energy-Logger - energy captured, visualized and made available for IT purposes

The S-Energy Logger captures consumption values from bus-compatible energy meters or S-Energy Managers and transfers them to SQL databases. This allows the captured values to be integrated into existing IT structures and evaluated throughout the company.
Via the preconfigured user interface, it is possible to access such energy meter values as consumption, current, voltage, apparent/active/reactive power, power factor (cos phi), etc. Data can be logged and made available in a suitable format for web and IT purposes.

The S-Energy Logger has been integrated as a standard function in Windows-based Web-Panels.
