Machine control with PLC technology
Saia® PCD3 CPUs, with their PLC technology, provides the economic and technical freedom to implement machine innovations with ease. United on a single, basic device is a combination of USB, Ethernet, RS485, Profibus or CAN and RS232.
Further co-processor modules can be plugged into the four CPU slots. For use as a central controller, expansion is possible up to 1024 local I/Os. The industrial PLC memory ranges from 256 KBytes to 22 MBytes. In addition, an SD flash module option is available. The integral web server is accessible via all CPU ports and supports access to all PLC data.
Alongside the usual web browsers, direct access is also possible from Windows®, Linux® and Unix® applications via the CGI interface or .NET web service. Through an integral FTP server, the file system of these CPUs provides an easy, convenient connection to the usual IT environment. Process data from the file system can be processed directly with applications, for example with a text editor.
