Saia® FBox-Builder - company automation standard

Create Saia® operating system extensions
Operating system extensions take the form of normal STEP® 7 program blocks (OB/FC/FB/DB). The function required is then produced and tested using a special PCD2 CPU – the development system – and STEP® 7 programming tools.
When programming and tests are complete, the program blocks are uploaded into the Saia® OS-Builder software tool. Saia® OS-Builder uses these STEP® 7 blocks to generate a software module, which will be linked to the PLC operating system. The program blocks therefore become an integral part of the operating system and do not take up any user pro-gram memory. To protect against reading, copying and unauthorized access, the Saia® OS-Builder generates an individual code. Copyright details are also transferred to the operating system extension.
