Customer types

For years, the growth of Controls Division has depended – and will continue to depend – on three types of company: OEMs, system integrators and brand-label customers.

OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
We have around 200 OEMs as regular customers. They comprise medium-sized to large machine builders and manufacturers of standard production devices.
For these OEMs, the control or regulation part of their product is important to their commercial success. This may be because the controller makes up a high proportion of the machine’s value and/or because this part of the machine gives it an unmistakeable identity/functionality.
Those OEMs to whom the control technology does not matter and who install the house brand for every customer, do not comprise a target customer group for us.

System integrators
Throughout the world, we count over 600 system integrators as our partners. They may be one-man businesses, specializing in particular application segments, or they may be companies with several hundred employees and an international presence (e.g. Axima®). We are also happy to count project departments of Siemens®, Cegelec®, Johnson Controls®, ABB, and others among our customers.
System integrators are highly competent for electrical automation solutions, but do not normally produce their own devices. Although they will usually provide control boxes, as a rule their assembly is ordered externally.
The core competency of system integrators is to take different automation technologies and products and, through engineering and programming, integrate them into a solution that is fully ready for deployment and use. The maintenance and extension of these automation solutions forms part of the service offering over the entire useful life.

Electrical automation providers (brand label customers)
Well known international automation companies entrust us with the development and/or production of a part of their product range for small electrical devices (outsourcing).
We develop, produce and deliver to the customer’s exact specification.
