Added value stages
Boards and software components
Our position on the added value levels starts with the development and production of electronic subassemblies and software components. At present, our most important software component is the new real-time operating system Saia® NT.OS (developed in-house).
Control devices
The subassemblies are integrated with mechanical parts and connection technology to form devices with a market price between 20 and 2000 Euro. Delivery volumes range accordingly from a few hundred to several hundred thousand units per year.
Control systems
Only systems can solve automation tasks. This involves combining devices and subassemblies with each other, or integrating them via communications systems within an automation environment.
Using basic systems developed in-house (e.g. S-Web and S-Net) we let our customers have very powerful system solutions with the highest functional security at a low engineering cost.
System development and testing are very important for us. We use them to save our customers’ expenditure and help them avoid difficulties during operation.
Control solutions
Saia-Burgess Controls is not a solution provider. It is the task of our system integrators to provide application solutions – i.e. turnkey control systems that include the application program, control box, actuator and sensor engineering, etc. We never enter into competition with our customers.
We concentrate on the three levels of added value directly underneath: «control systems», «control devices» and «boards and software components».
We deliberately seek to use all our know-how, devices and systems to make our partners successful.
