Research and development is the motor of our innovation.
We develop our own products and technologies – whether hardware, firmware or software – in one large development team, and you receive this complete competency from one single source. 50 team members work on the constant improvement and innovation of our products, rounding out the product portfolio and expanding our development competencies.

Whether micro-controller, customized standard product or Saia® PCD as a powerful PLC – Controls R & D invented it, designed it, developed and produced it.


Technical Product Management

Technical Product Management (TPM) monitors the market, the competition and general trends in automation engineering. Through its responsibility for technical customer care in key applications, it develops product ideas from customer requests, taking into account strategic and tactical shifts in technologies and the market.
It supports across the board the technical development of products and, in all development stages, ensures progress to market readiness, providing support documentation for engineering, sales, marketing and production.
With its organizational and physical closeness not only to production, but also to research and development, TPM guarantees the highest innovation potential, without forgetting about feasibility or the wider product portfolio.


Infrastructure automation

Infrastructure automation comprises the automation of commercial properties with all their necessary technical facilities, ensuring the comfort of people and smooth operation of installed systems and machines.
For this field of application, Saia-Burgess Controls develops system solutions based on the latest Saia® PLC technology, which is characterized by high flexibility, openness and quality.
The spectrum of uses for our products extends today from buildings to traffic, power and water engineering, all the way to data management and logistics systems.


Production

In Murten, production employs over 100 staff in an area of 2300 m2. The equipment and organization of production has been arranged for maximum flexibility, speed and quality. The emphasis is on the production of complex modules and their assembly / configuration as standard devices.
