6/10/2009 - Web-HMI for Simatic S7
SIMATIC-compatible SaiaPCD Web-Panels. They communicate with SIMATIC controllers from Siemens (S7-300/400) via MPI and make all data accessible via a network.
Web HMI now also available for SIMATIC-S7

The new SaiaPCD Web-Panels are also offered as SIMATIC-compatible Web-Panels with a 5.7” or 10” TFT colour display, a resolution of 640x480 pixels and touch control. They communicate with SIMATIC controllers from Siemens (S7-300/400) via MPI and so integrate all PLC data into the web visualization, or make it accessible via a network.
Web-based visualization, control and monitoring means that, once a user interface has been created, it can be used to operate installations and machines not only with local control panels on-site, but also with PCs via intranet or internet. Moreover, there is no requirement for lengthy PC installations or costly software drivers. All it takes is a browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, to access both process and machine. The operator interface is stored in the form of a web visualization on a web server in the control panel. Not only is this visualization displayed on the control panel, but the entire operator interface is also made available by the web server on the company’s network. In this way, the Web-Panel functions as a link between the PLC and IT environments, but that is not all. Thanks to the built-in file system, PLC data can be logged in standard files (e.g. Excel format) and called via an FTP server; or the PLC can trigger the sending of error messages via e-mail.
