There are many reasons to use a Web-Panel instead of a standard PC. The slight additional cost of purchase is repaid many times over by added value in functionality and a longer life cycle. A Web-Panel on the wall takes up no room and needs no table. Nobody can manipulate it inadvertently (added software, etc.) or simply carry it off. Web-Panels are designed for permanent operation, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The new Windows-based SaiaPCD Web-Panels with their special, energy saving LX800 processor even do without a noisy, service-prone fan. This makes them ideally suited to wall mounting – even in living areas. To enable wall mounting in next to no time, Saia-Burgess now offers Web-Panels in the form of a wall mounting set. It consists of a wall mounting box, a specially adjusted panel for wall mounting with a particularly flat profile, and a snap-on front frame in aluminium. For individualized interiors, a simple metal support can be ordered instead of the standard frame. This can then be fitted with any conceivable material, such as wood (to match furnishings), metal, glass or even stone. The mounting set concept has been well thought through and devices are easy to install. Another advantage of SaiaPCD Windows Web-Panels is the fact that they are delivered “ready-to-go”: no laborious Windows configuration or Java updates are needed and a convenient configuration manager enormously simplifies commissioning and service.

Mounting sets are equally suitable for flush mounting in both drywalls and masonry. The new colour TFT panels are available in 10“/12“/15“, with a resolution of 800x600 or 1024x768 and are supplied with Windows CE 6.0 or Windows XP embedded. They have two Ethernet and USB interfaces each, plus one serial RS232 and PS/2 connection.
