SaiaPCD looks back on a successful 2009 in Germany

Bucking the general market trend, in the past year Saia-Burgess in Germany has achieved sales growth of 5.4 percent with its PCD automation equipment. This has enabled the company, based in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt, to make significant gains in market share against a difficult economic background. The crucial foundation for attaining this increase was implementation across the entire product range of the formula SaiaPCD = SPS + Web + IT. Saia was particularly able to profit from public programmes to promote increased energy efficiency: not only through increased sales to manufacturers of machines and equipment, but also to major investment projects in commercial and industrial property. Numerous decisions were made in favour of the controller specialist, because its systems are fundamentally designed to allow overlapping between facilities and manufacturers. This makes comprehensive energy optimization easier and more viable to implement.
