Windows CE Web-Panels optimized for web applications

The new Windows CE based Web-Panels PCD7.D51xxTL010 from Saia-Burgess Controls have been specially designed for use in association with web visualization systems. These SaiaPCD Web-Panels are ready to use straight from the pack: ready integrated software packages and a range of useful tools ensure immediate productive use, without the inconvenience and risk of having to install software. The Web-Panel configurator is intuitive to use and allows the panel to be configured quickly and simply – even without any knowledge of Windows CE.
Three browsers are available with which to display visualizations: the resource-saving, fast reacting Micro-Browser, an applet viewer complete with Java Virtual Machine, and Internet Explorer for web visualization combined with standard web pages. In addition, the .NET Compact Framework has been installed which can be used to run Visual-Basic and C# programs that extend straight visualization by adding user-programmed functions. Windows applications of this type can be provided with a web interface via the Web-HMI-Server, allowing them to be seamlessly integrated into the web visualization. Web technology also means that the panels themselves are configurable with a standard browser via intranet/internet. From a distance, therefore, it is possible to query CPU status, start or end applications, and even manage user accounts. This functionality is rounded off by a VNC server, PDF viewer and video player.
Panels are available in 10“, 12“ or 15“ versions with resolutions of 800x600 or 1024x768 and touch control. A powerful AMD processor type Geode LX800 guarantees fluency of operation and offers enough reserves of power to run parallel tasks and processes. The LX800 CPU offers energy-saving design and does without a fan. Alongside two USB ports and a serial interface, the panels also have two Ethernet interfaces.
