Apple apps for the SaiaPCD automation level
For new devices and previously installed devices - Basis 2001

The software and integration service provider Cirrus B.V. ( www.cirrusbv.eu ) has recently developed and brought to maturity three apps for SaiaPCD automation systems with iPod, iPhone and the new iPad. These apps are available from mid April in the AppStore and have already been presented at the Light&Building Exhibition.
The apps allow Apple hardware to be used as control, monitoring and management devices for SaiaPCDs. They turn iPods, iPhones and iPads into remote monitoring and service devices.
Via 100% standardized web access mechanisms, the apps can directly access resources and data from SaiaPCD devices.
The currently installed broad base of internet-compatible SaiaPCDs with accessible web and IT interfaces makes the Saia-Burgess platform very attractive for software companies like Cirrus.
Something which Saia-Burgess has included within its basic technical equipment for almost 10 years is, in the case of many other makes, only offered with individual, newer device types, or only at a significantly higher price.
Although the manufacturers that dominate the automation market have more potential users and more automation stations in the field than Saia-Burgess, this potential cannot be exploited by an independent software company because is involves traditional, closed and proprietary solutions.
Openness and non-proprietary technology are not just advertising slogans with SaiaPCD automation technology. The integral web server in all new devices since 2001 is there for a purpose. The offering from the Germany software company Cirrus provides clear proof of this.
